Fried Bologna Breakfast Sandwich
Enjoy the good old-fashioned flavor of our 33% Lower Sodium Bologna in a hearty, delicious breakfast sandwich. When crispy fried bologna meets the classic combination of egg and cheddar, each indulgent bite brings a smooth, yet crunchy flavor sensation.
Instructions
- Preheat broiler on high.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, melt half of the butter.
- Once butter is sizzling, add the bread to the pan to toast, about 1-2 minutes on each side. Then move to one side of the pan.
- On the other side of the pan, melt the remaining butter and add the bologna slices. Cook for 2-3 minutes, then flip bologna until all sides are evenly browned. Keep the skillet warm, on low and buttered for later use.
- Place bread on an oven-safe tray and top with cheese and bologna. Broil for 1-2 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbling. Remove from oven and set aside.
- In the large skillet, pan fry an egg to your preference. Place on top of the bologna and enjoy!
